Lowongan Mechanical Technician - QAFCO (Qatar Fertiliser Company)

QAFCO was founded in 1969 as a joint venture between the State of Qatar, Norsk Hydro Norway, Davy Power gas , and Hambros Bank, to produce Ammonia & Urea by utilizing Qatar's abundant gas resources. The company is now owned by Industries Qatar (IQ) as 75% shareholder and Yara Netherlands as 25% shareholder.

QAFCO's inception in 1969 as a joint venture company to produce chemical fertilisers was the first and a significant step in Qatar's industrial diversification program to utilize its abundant natural gas resources.

Mechanical Technician

Requirements:

• The position is responsible for the independent overhaul and maintenance of rotating equipment, stationery equipment, sea water pumps, heat exchangers, piping, valves, vessels, heat exchangers, boilers and allied items.
• The position holder should be a diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering and have minimum 5 years experiences in a similar position from a large chemical plant, preferably Ammonia/ Urea Fertiliser Plant.
• Knowledge about chemical plant’s safety aspects is required and computer skills is an advantage.
